who are driving to play with us from Halmstad and Ljungby
respectively. Johannes Fält has joined us on

THE START OF 2006 SEES A NUMBER OF CHANGES TO
MBB’S LINE-UP |
|
Malmö Brass Band under the baton of Arne Nordström warmly welcomes Anja Steimer who joins the back row on second Cornet, and Helena Dolfie on second trombone. Anja is studying trumpet at Malmö Music Academy, whilst Helena has previously played with Immanuel Brass in Stockholm.
In addition Göran Göransson moves from 1st Baritone to Eb Bass, and Lars Ivarsson moves up from 2nd to 1st Baritone.

NEW MUSICIAN! |

We can now confirm that in the autumn Connie Roslund will be joining the band, strengthening the trombone section.
Connie previously played in Malmö Brass Band prior to and after his study period at Malmö Music Academy.
Connie is an established trombone educationalist both with Malmö Music Academy and Hässleholm Music School. With his trombone students he has received international acclaim.

GALA CONCERT |
|
The Gala Concert to celebrate our China Tour is starting to come together. It will take place in Malmö Concert House Saturday 29th October at 16.00.
Stefan Ljungkvist and Gunlis Ardevall, who were both with us in China, will be vocal soloists. In addition Stefan Ljungkvist will compere the program.
There will also be a special guest performance by the Chinese soprano Dilbèr.

WELCOME TO NEW MUSICIANS! |

Lina and Maja Wallberg, twins from Torsby, have moved to Malmö – Lina on 2nd Euphonium and Maja on 1st horn.
Per Ivarsson has returned to us combining his music studies in Germany and will be playing bumper up to Jan Winborg.
Two of the members from the junior band have also begun to play in Malmö Brass Band - Markus Rydén on 3rd cornet and Konrad Wernersson on 2nd horn.
We greet them all with a warm welcome to Malmö Brass Band!

Stefan Cooper has decided to take four months time off from his post as Conductor in order to concentrate on his instrument playing. The Musical Committee has decided that Malmö Brass Band’s
Deputy Conductor, Arne Nordström, will take over as Conductor and the musical responsibility during the autumn term.
