Background:

Lars began playing the tenor horn at the age of seven. His first performance was at Hjortsberga summer music camp, where with his twin sister, played two songs that had been impressed upon/drummed into them by their father Hasse (a great person for them to model themselves on both musically and literally). After a while, whilst playing the horn, Lars felt his musical nerves ‘tickle’ so he advanced to the cornet - still with Hasse as his teacher. Not long after a junior brass band was formed and he quickly advanced onto the euphonium. With new music, he had a new tutor from all the way from Australia, Moira Casanova. Lars played a couple of years on solo euphonium until Malmö Brass Band sought after his talent and asked him to be part of the team on second baritone. Since Lars recently began studying music science, he picked up and dusted off his father's trombone with which he now studies (not the trombone, how to play it!) at Heleneholms upper secondary school, educated by Ola Nordquist.
